Editorial Design Brief.

So as my brief as a MUA I'm required to produce a makeup look to reflect the current trends for Spring/Summer 2017 and to design a makeup look for a magazine. Spring/Summer 2017 is going to be all about clean illuminated skin 2016 was all about flawless skin heavy contour and a highlight that could be seen from space since Kim K was seen rocking the makeup. This year it's the total opposite The skin is like "No Makeup Makeup look" fresh clean skin. 2015-2016's makeup was vey heavy and very full coverage now the spring summer makeup is very minimal its all about the no makeup makeup look. 2017's eyebrows are getting really fluffy with less product in them and less defined through 2015-2016 the brows have gone from extremely defined, thick and full of product to now getting thinner having less product and less defined. From going from the 2015 heavy brows full of product, 2016 started with "ombre" brows with hardly any product in the start of the brow and product in the end now the brows have hardly any product in them and really fluffy. Since Pat McGraf designed her eyeshadows and at her launch at Prada’s Spring 2016 show in Milan everyone started to go crazy about her gold metallic shadow and CUSTO BARCELONA was seen in the spring summer makeup trends in Elle wearing a very vibrant gold shade on her lids very similar to Pat McGraf's shadow. So this is one for the seasons trends that will be popping back up. The rest of the colours for the eyes are very basic eye makeups throughout the years really heavy smoky eye makeups have been very in with a lot of definition into the outer V building up from light shadows building up getting darker and smoky. For 2017s eye makeup look very flat with no definition to the eye. In Elle for the SS trends there is a lot of plain lips with a slight bit of clear gloss applied again there sticking with the No makeup, makeup look and there is a lot of bright pinks. Tom Pecheux created a pink-toned beauty look at Chanel, with bold coral lips matched to blush applied using a draping technique - to temples, cheekbones and beneath the brows as seen in Vogue.

Makeup final exam Poison Ivy

Hey guys as I said I was going to keep you all up to date with my final makeup exam, it was a create an image so I picked Poison Ivy. I had a hour and half working to exam conditions such as in silence only speaking to my client, I had to scrape my makeup from my palletes (which I wasn't happy about) but it's mainly to keep everything hygienic.
I made everything myself such as the costume, the eye mask, ect.

The makeup was a basic green smokey eye, flawless skin, a light contour and a red lip.

For the costume I got a green bikini and stuck green ivy leaves all over it along with the cape and the shoes.

Te hair I bought a red hair wig of eBay and I had got Velcro rollers and made a cone shape by putting them inside eachother from going big to small and I basically wrapped the hair around so it looked like how poison ivy herself has it and I just wrapped ivy around them to add more to the theme.

I have been told I passed I'm just waiting on my grade, but the examiner was so happy with my work she wanted a photo of it to show some of her workers and to put on the website! I am so happy with how it turned out and I have had so many compliments on it!

Makeup mitt review

Aloha beautiful!

I have been seeing so many bloggers raving about the make up mitt and how great it is so obviously I had to get one to see what all the hype is about.

Basically the make up mitt is a pink soft microfibre wash mitt that removes every little bit of your makeup off all you do is wet the mitt and begin to take all you're makeup off. Whilst it's removing all your makeup its exfoliating your skin at the same time leaving your face feeling great.

For best results to remove all makeup including waterproof mascara use the makeup mitt with only water and no additional products.

How to use
1. Completely soak the mitt in warm water

2. Squeeze out some excess water

3. Gently remove makeup

4. Rinse mitt using liquid soap if required

5. Hang to dry

What's good about this makeup mitt is that it's suitable for all skin types and it's reusable and machine washable. To wash you must put your washing machine at a low heat setting of 40C.

At first I was really sceptical about all these makeup mitts and I was thinking I wear really heavy makeup and my mascara is waterproof so I didn't really think that it would come all off with just water. But to my suprise it all came off I used it in the shower without a mirror and i was just rubbing my face for a while and hoping that I didn't have all mascara down my face and if anyone uses any benefit mascaras they are a pain to get off. So I got to my Mirror and I was so shocked it had all come off. So if anyone is thinking about getting one you should definitely I would highly recommend them and they are really affordable for such an amazing product it's fast and easy to use and will save you a lot of money on buying makeup wipes and makeup removers.

The makeup mitt are sold on there website at £6 each and they also do a tan eraser mitt and to get them both they have face you a discounted price for £10 and for the quality of the products that's a bargain.

Makeup Project

Hey guys!
So as its coming up to Halloween I am doing a lot of makeup so I was playing about and I came up with an idea to do my cousins makeup and get some pictures outside with good back grounds to suit the purpose.

I'm really proud of how it's all turned out and it fits in perfectly with the whole "building site" theme my cousin loved all the acting as he's only 12 and he went to the shop with it all on his face and took me about a hour to persuade him to actually take it off.

All I done it made a base with liquid latex and toilet roll and used a bruise wheel to get the bruising and colour into the injury and added loads of blood!

Let me know what you think of it guys!

Special effects work

Hey!
I'm back!

So I was watching the purge the other day with my boyfriend and it gave me a lot of inspiration to do a makeup look!

I wanted to go all out and as dramatic as I could with the bone popping out of my nose I used tissue paper rolled up and the rest was used with mehron wax

As you can see I love making it look really  gross I am going to be doing a step by step tutorial soon so keep a eye out.
